She is survived by her sons Matthew and Andrew, of Hackettstown and Parsippany, New Jersey; sister, Sarah Al-Mayahi, and niece Rachel, of Atlanta, Georgia; her beloved Hank, and many friends.

The daughter of Mildred and Charles Westermeyer, Jane was born in Baltimore, MD on January 29, 1947. With her former husband, Thomas Cullen, she had two sons, Matthew and Andrew. In her later years, she resided with Henry Shotwell at Oakhill in Hackettstown, NJ.

A recovered alcoholic with over 23 years sober,  Jane helped many people to achieve sobriety.

She was passionate about history and travel. Her journeys began in her 20’s while employed by American Airlines. A lifelong student, she was a voracious reader and compiled a library of books and DVDs, especially “The Great Courses” lectures. Jane was particularly fond of British culture and all things BBC, from murder mystery to the “GBBO.”

Jane treasured the ballet and attending many cultural events (the Downton Abbey exhibit!) with her circle of friends and family. The exploits of the Gang of Four - Cynthia, Jane, Lee, Portia – will live on in local lore, as well as the quiet joy she took in feeding the birds who visited her year round.

Maria Valdivia Cavallone was born December 29, 1929 in Lima, Peru.

She came to the United States in 1963, and by the end of the year met, and soon after, married the love of her life, Luis Cavallone.

They were happily married and together celebrated their 55th anniversary this past Thursday.

She had two sons, Mario and Carlos, whom she loved more than life itself and to whom she endlessly endowed the wisdom of her years. We will be forever grateful.

Mario and Carlos married Jenny Gould and Annette Machin, respectively.

The two boys and their wives gave Maria six grandchildren - Nicolas, Sophie, Sara, Gabriella, Charlotte, and Genevieve whom she adored.

She loved gardening and traveling with her husband. She wishes she would have done more traveling when she was younger, and would always tell people if they want to do something, don't wait. She will be sorely missed and will forever be in our hearts.

A private service will be held.

Bernard U. Cho

Bernard Cho died peacefully at his home surrounded by his four daughters and wife on November 22, 2017 in Hackettstown, NJ at the age of 68.
Bernard is survived by his wife, Soon Ja Cho and four daughters, Carol Cho, Bonnie Cho and her husband Justin Heim, Julia Cho and Gina Cho, and sister, Anastasia Ribnicky and her husband Mike Ribnicky.

Bernard Cho was born as Ung Whi Cho on July 1, 1949 in Seoul, South Korea to mother Anna Lee and father Han Gyung Cho. He served in the Republic of Korea Marine Corps stationed in Vietnam from 1969 to 1971, and was discharged in 1972. He moved to the US in 1973 to chase the American Dream. While in the US, he responded to a penpal ad in a Korean newspaper and started writing letters to a wonderful and special woman for three years, before he went to South Korea and asked Soon Ja Cho to marry him in 1976. He brought back his lovely wife to the US where they started their family.  Both Bernie and Soonie worked hard at various factories, even cleaning shopping malls, until they found the company that they would retire from:  the M&M Mars candy factory, where they proudly worked until they both retired.

He loved being physically active, his favorite hobbies being tennis and long walks and hikes with his wife.  His pride in working for M&M Mars and his love for America was never-ending, dressing head to toe in red, white and blue, and M&Ms clothing.  He was an active church go-er and heartfelt volunteer. He spent his 15 years of retirement extremely passionate about giving back to his local community and to various national humanitarian organizations and causes from soup kitchens and the VA to the Salvation Army (where he looked forward every holiday season ringing the bell outside of supermarkets).  He often shared with others his love for America and giving to charity so that he might inspire them to do the same.  He was truly a man of service, loyalty, duty and honor, both to his country and his family.
