Alvarez-Chavez, Rosita October 1, 1958 - June 2, 2021

Rosita Alvarez-Chavez, 62 of Hackettstown, NJ passed away peacefully in her sleep Wednesday June 2, 2021.

Born October 1, 1958, in Dover, NJ. She was the daughter of Obdulio Alvarez and Alicia Lopez.  She was sister to Migdalia, Janet, Marie, Awilda and Arlene. She is reunited with daughter Atisor and survived by her 6 children: Alicia, Fernando, Monica, Rolando, Ricardo, Janel and 13 grandchildren: Trevaughn, Gabriel, Alyssa, Jorel, Donovan, Natalie, Deangelie, Dorion, Jayden, Cassandra, Fernando, Ayana, and Lenaj.

Rosita enjoyed dancing, music, time with family and bringing joy to her many friends.  She always had a smile on her face and a joke ready to go.  Most of her professional career was spent working at Saint Clare’s Medical Center as a unit secretary.

Rosita was known for her honesty and “keeping it real.”

Join us as we celebrate her life and honor her memory with visitation on Friday, June 11th from 10 am – 12 noon at the First Pentecostal Church, Dover, NJ followed by a celebration of life service starting at 12 Noon. Burial will follow services at the Union Cemetery, Hackettstown, NJ.

    I know sis with all my heart that you are in a better place where there is no more suffering or pain, you are now in the loving arms of our Father in heaven. I am asking God to heal my heart, this really hurts loosing you. My deepest condolences to Monica, to my nephews and nieces, Alicia Lee, Fernando, Monica, Rolando, Janel, Ricardo and all her beautiful grandchildren. I know how much you will miss your mom. You have Titi’s that will be by your side always! Sis you would be so proud of your children how they are putting together your celebration of life. Rosey I will miss our gazillian good nights, It was always hard ending a call. I will miss your tell it like it is spirit , your funny jokes, our coffee time with the best cheese and crackers and salchichon. I will miss sharing our ups and downs of life, I will miss your I love you before hanging up the phone. If I knew on Sunday that was the last time I was going to hear I love you from you, I would have stayed on the call forever. I will miss you forever and always. Until we see each other again. 💔❤️🙏🏽

    Dear Family of Sister Rosita. Extending a sincere condolence blessing, to each of you. I met the Alavarez’ Sisters in 1984 and mother, Aliicia visiting with Awilda. Sadden to hear of Rosita unexpected passing. A ‘lady’ with a strong personality, a dedicated love for family and sincere commitment to her friends.
