Genevieve Mary Baum, age 69, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 27, 2021. Gen was born in Bangor, Maine where she was raised by her loving parents, Neville and Gertrude Mann.
She attended Tufts University in Boston where she met her husband Bruce and went on to work as a medical technician.
Gen and Bruce wed in 1975 and shortly thereafter moved to New Jersey, settled in Long Valley and started a family of their own. Gen was a teacher’s aide in the Washington Township School
District for 18 years where she worked with children and made lifelong friends before retiring. Gen enjoyed cooking, reading and traveling with her family. She was a strong and passionate woman who cared deeply for those closest to her and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Gen is survived by her brother, James Mann, devoted husband, Bruce and their children Maxine and Kelly, along with their five grandchildren.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, August 3 rd from 4:00-6:00pm at Cochrane Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840 with services beginning at 5:45 pm.
