Bullock, Thomas V. July 19, 1940 - December 26, 2021

Thomas V. Bullock, 81, of Hackettstown NJ, died on Dec 26, 2021, at Hackettstown Hospital after a brief illness. Thomas was born: July 19, 1940 in Phillipsburg to the late Roland, Sr. and Gertrude Bullock.

He graduated from St. Philip and St. James Catholic HS. He worked for many years at M&M Mars, then Centenary College.

He loved brain-teasers (he was one)! Also known for his quick, clever wit and “punny” sense of humor. Although born completely deaf in one ear, he really enjoyed music, as evidenced by his huge collection of 45s. He enjoyed sports, and liked to “root for the underdog” when he “didn’t have a horse in the race. “He was eager to help others and to give whatever  he could, even when the best he could offer was a little “chuckle” (which could be a laugh, the candy, or both!), a few dollars (or just his two cents), or a prayer. Some of his acts of kindness were the most simple, yet truly thoughtful deeds. His greatest goal in life was to be a good father. He went above & beyond, worthy of the distinction: great father! He will be missed.

Thomas is survived by a daughter, Sharyl Mammana & husband Pat of NY; brother, Carl of Tom’s River; and sister, Dorothy Finken. Also, ex-wife and dear friend Barbara; daughter-in-law, Bonnie (nee Fetchko) of Dover, DE; and many nieces and nephews. Special mention with many thanks for all their help to friends: Betty Butler, John Stocker, and Deron Bartow.

He was predeceased by 5 brothers: Paul, Ed, Bob, Bernard, and Roland Jr; and a dearly-beloved, never-to-be-forgotten son, David, who died in a car accident in Feb 2016.

There will be no viewing or burial. His ashes will be going home with his daughter. Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High St, Hackettstown NJ, is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be offered at
