Carmen A. Castillo, age 80, passed peacefully in her home in Hackettstown, NJ surrounded by her loving family. Carmen was born February 6, 1940 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. She is the daughter of the late Elin and Ana (Marrero) Roman. Also predeceased by her Son, Richard Castillo, and siblings, Elin, Jr., Cruz & Gloria. She married Gregorio Castillo.

She moved to Newark, NJ with her family as a teenager and later met her love, Gregorio Castillo and married in 1966.

Carmen was a loving homemaker and the matriarch of the family. She was a devoted sister and loving daughter. She was invested in caring and spending time with her six loving grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her family, visiting casinos always with her loving husband.

She is survived by her husband: Gregorio Castillo, daughter; Marilyn Castillo, son: Greg Castillo and wife Margaret (Peggy), six grandchildren: Gregory, Jason, Natalie, Emily, Christopher and Amanda.

The funeral will be held 10:30 am on Friday, September 11, 2020 at Church Of The Assumption Of The Blessed Mary, 305 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. with Father Antony Arockiadoss officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington on Friday, September 11 following the funeral mass.

Calling hours will be Thursday, September 10, 2020 from 4 – 8 pm at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J.
