Richard A. Caruso

Richard “Cookie” A. Caruso, age 88 of Hackettstown, New Jersey entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 5th, 2021 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center.
Richard was born on February 25,1933 in Waltham, Massachusetts to the late John J. Caruso and Victoria L. (Demarco) Caruso.
He is survived by his loving, devoted wife of 66 years Joan M. (Lane) Caruso and their seven children. Gayle Crowley, Richard Caruso Jr., Michele Wilson, Kevin Caruso, Joseph Caruso, JoAnne Hegemann and James Caruso. Sisters Genevieve Cannavino Muir and Elaine Ferrick. As well as 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers John J. Caruso Jr. and Victor Caruso.
Richard served proudly in the United States Army during the Korean war. He was a devoted catholic, a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and The American Legion.
In addition, he enjoyed cooking, crossword puzzles, camping and spending time with his family.
Service and burial will be limited to family and close friends.
The viewing hours will be held Friday, September 10th, 2021 from 7:00 – 8:30 P.M. at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ. Followed by a burial on Saturday, September 11th, 2021 at Calvary Cemetery in Waltham, Massachusetts at 12:30pm.
