Dean Elton Sargeant, age 92, of Indian Lakes , FL passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021 at home in Indian Lakes. Dean was born June 19, 1928 in Vienna, NJ. He is the son of the late Merrill and May (Paff) Sargeant. Dean was predeceased by his wife Louise Sargeant in 2008, brothers, Merrill Sargeant, Jr., Roy Sargeant, and Harold Sargeant and a sister Dorothy Sliwoski.
He served in the Army during the the Korean war from 11/14/1950 to 10/18/1952. Dean was the owner of Sargeant’s Oil Company and was of the Methodist faith. Dean enjoyed playing golf and fishing.
He is survived by his daughter, Beverly Kist of Florida, two sons: Gary Sargeant of Alabama and Roger Sargeant of Kansas, sister: Loretta Lewis of, West Virginia, brother: Jerry Sargeant of Florida, several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Pequest Union Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Great Meadows, NJ.
