Pavel Frumov lifelong musician, husband, father and grandfather passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. He was 78 years old.

He was born July 24th 1948 in Kazan, Russia, attended local school and received a master’s degree at Ural University of music. He worked at Sverdlovsk Theatre of Opera and Ballet, Sverdlovsk Philharmonic and Symphony Orchestra of Moscow. He also taught children and adults at several music schools in Russia and United States. He played at Arizona Woodwinds and Hunterdon Symphony Orchestra.

He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather. He was loved and respected by all who knew him.

Pavel is survived by his loving wife Yelena Frumova. Together they raised 1 daughter. Daughter Lidiya and husband Luis. He was also blessed by 2 beautiful grandchildren, Nicholas Paul Alvarado and Lance Alonso Alvarado.

Pavel was predeceased by his parents Roman Frumov and Ludmila Vaulina.

A visitation will take place on Friday, October 16, 2026 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840.

Funeral Service will also be held on Friday, October 16, 2026 at 12:30 pm at Cochran Funeral Home with Father Michael Szwarc officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Califon, NJ.
