Marie A. Dilts passed away peacefully on October 14, 2026 in Beattystown, NJ surrounded by her loving family.
Marie was born January 23, 1940 in Morristown, NJ.  She attended Morristown High School and later attended Warren County Community College where she earned her GED and was proudly recognized as the Outstanding Adult Learner.  In addition, she earned her cosmetology license.
Marie is survived by her six children: her daughter Debbie and her husband Ed Prokop; daughter Lynda Karaszewski; son Roger and his wife Phyllis Roloson; daughter Kathy and her husband Rick McNicholas; son David and his wife Michelle Roloson; and son Sam Roloson.
She was blessed with 16 grandchildren: Stacey, Michelle, Tiffany, April, Michael, Amanda, Andrea, Jeff, Anthony, Rachael, Eric, Erica, Kody, Kirstyn, Kyler and Brielle; 24 great grandchildren; Larah, Rylee, Payton, Lily, Emma, Joey, Jack, James, Nila, Milyn, Nova, Blake, Bentley, Berkley, Christopher Blue, Miles, Eli, AJ, McKenzie, Madelyn, Aubrie, Ellie, Ryder and a baby on the way;  and 1 great-great grandchild; Liam.
Marie was predeceased by her parents, Anthony & Edith Sinito; the father of her children, Samuel Roloson; her husband Robert Dilts; her son-in-law Randy Wanous; and grandson, Anthony Roloson.
She enjoyed cooking and wow could she cook. Sausage, peppers and onions were always a staple at the family gatherings, where she brought everyone together with good food & an abundance of joy.  She truly loved life, finding happiness in playing all kinds of games, listening to music, dancing and crafting.  Above all, her favorite moments were spent simply enjoying time with her friends and family.
A woman of deep faith, she loved the Lord and loved others as well, always giving back to her community.  She dedicated years of her life as a Boy Scout leader in Morris County, NJ, guiding and mentoring her sons and many young boys in the area where she lived.  She was never afraid of hard work and held many jobs over the years, including working as a waitress, as well as working at Pyronics Corporation, before ultimately retiring from Area Lighting Research in Hackettstown.
Her determination was a powerful example to her family and those how knew her; by finishing her education at the age of 42.  She proved to herself and by example to us, that we could accomplish anything we set our minds to, always reminding us “You can do it”.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Abundant Life Community Church (21 Cherry Tree Bend Road, Port Murray, NJ 07865) on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at 2 pm.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Marie’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

My sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to everyone in Marie’s family. Whenever I was in her company she was always upbeat, cheery and friendly. She was my friend’s mother but when I was with her, she always felt like both a mother and a friend. Marie, now that you’re not with us, there will be a big gap in this world.
