Sally Hunter Gilbert, age 94, of Hackettstown died Monday, April 18, 2022 at home in Hackettstown. Sally was born August 23, 1927 in Miami, FL. She was the daughter of the late Parks and Margaret (Smith) Hunter.
She was previously employed by Randolph School District, Randolph, NJ as a Physical Education Teacher retiring many years ago. Sally was an avid reader and in her younger years enjoyed traveling. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Sally is survived by her two loving sons, Paul Gilbert, David Gilbert and wife Laura, two cherished daughters, Caroline Chozhanski and husband Jack, Susan Woolverton and husband Tim, and six grandchildren.
The a memorial visitation will be held on at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ Friday, April 22, 2022 from 2-4 pm.

April 20, 2022 at 1:26 amSally was one of the reasons I joined Redeemer Lutheran Church. When I started visiting the Church, I gravitated to her. Loved everything about Sally. I will remember her warm spirit and smile, I really liked her voice and reading style and after she did any readings in Church I would go up to her and tell her. She would just thank me and laugh. I feel very lucky that she was one of those people that I met in my life’s journey.
