Lepre, Jean M. October 11, 1946 - April 3, 2026

Jean M. Lepre (nee-Dooner), age 79, of Hackettstown died Friday, April 3, 2026 at home in Hackettstown.  Jean was born October 11, 1946 in Pittston, PA. Jean is the daughter of the late Eugene and Helen (Moone) Dooner.  In addition to her parents, Jean is preceded in death by her cherished son, Brian Lepre and her brother, William Dooner.

Jean was previously employed by Colonial Manor, Mansfield, NJ as a Nurse for many years before her retirement.  She loved trips to the beach, tanning herself in the sun and going to the tannin salon.  She enjoyed taking care of her family, doing laundry and cooking.  Most of all she loved music and dancing like no one is watching.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Jean is survived by her devoted husband: Harry Lepre , her seven daughters, Jeannie Blanchard and husband Christopher, Nancy Petrovic and husband Sasha, Sherri Villalobos and husband Kirk, Suzanne Ays and husband Michael, Tammy Lepre, Christina Deacon and husband Jay, Brianne Lepre,  a son, Michael Lepre, two brothers, Michael Dooner, Joseph Dooner,  18 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Thursday, April 9 at Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Mary, 305 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. with Father Leopoldo Salvania officiating.  Burial will follow at Hackettstown Union Cemetery, Hackettstown.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 8, 2026 from 2-6 pm at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ.  Online condolences may be left at www.cochranfuneral.com

    Dear Nancy and family,

    I’m so sorry for the loss of your beloved mother. Your mother instilled the love of family and fun into you, from what I can see, and clearly gave you many fond memories of the beach which you then passed along to your own children. May those memories of your mom bring you comfort.
