Librizzi, Sheila Donohue June 16, 1922 - September 27, 2020

Sheila Donohue Librizzi of Allamuchy, NJ passed away Sunday, September 27, 2020 at home surrounded by her family.  She was 98 years old.

Sheila was born June 16, 1922 to the late Francis and the late Mary Elizabeth (McKaigney) Donohue.  She grew up in Jamaica, Queens, NY.  After graduating from Dominican Commercial High School in 1940, she held secretarial positions with Orrefors and The Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, NYC.

Sheila met and married the love of her life, Frank Librizzi, in 1949.  They lived in Union, Short Hills and Allamuchy (Panther Valley), NJ and raised seven children.  She was a stay at home mother/wife who supported her family by being there for them in every way.  Grateful for all of her blessings, she gave back by volunteering for Meals on Wheels and the Head Start program in Newark, NJ and by serving as a BSA Den Leader and Girl Scout Leader.  She was active in the Catholic Daughters of America and the Rosary Society of St. Rose of Lima Church, Short Hills.  For 40 years she hosted the Donohue/Forgarty family reunion, called the Cousin Party, on the Saturday before Christmas.  In her retirement, she participated in the theater and garden clubs at Panther Valley, and she enjoyed extensive traveling and entertaining with her husband, Frank.

Sheila was predeceased by Frank in 2017. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Francis and Gerald and her sister-in-law, Josephine. She leaves her seven children, Eileen Klauser and her husband Eugene, Ann Librizzi, Charles Librizzi and his wife Diane, Paul Librizzi and his wife Carol, Clare Moncourtois, Mary Knackstedt and her husband Rick, and William Librizzi, 14 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  Always ready with an easy laugh and her quick Irish wit, she was someone who enjoyed life and those around her.  It was always a party with Sheila!

Funeral Arrangements are private, however, her funeral Mass will be live streamed via the Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church (Andover, NJ) website on Friday, October 2, 2020 at 1:00 pm.
