Lucas, Iseult J. August 12, 1966 - September 6, 2021

Date of Funeral

September 19, 2021

Our precious mother, Iseult Lucas, Age 55, died on Labor-day September 6th 2021. She devoted her life to her three children, who she had loved very dearly. Born in Haiti, she at age 3, attended College Bird in Port-Au Prince. Then at age 17, went on to attend the Institute of Higher Commercial and Economic Studies and LeConte college at the same time. Then at 21 years old, moved to the US to study architecture at the New York Institute of Technology. Continuing on to receive her Masters at Walden University for Health Administration.

She had acquired a Bachelors in Architecture, Masters in Healthcare Administration and became Certified as a Phlebotomy Technician, Healthcare Instructor, Substitute Teacher and as a Paralegal. Indeed, Iseult was a very well educated and brilliant woman but what she was known for the most was how loving and big her heart was. She was the kind of person you can count on and call for anything. She always treated everyone like family and would never refuse to help anyone. She was truly a blessing as she always knew how to make light of every situation. Her greatest strength was being able to make people smile, whether it be from her personality or how great her cooking was. She will always be loved and remembered as a beautiful person inside and out.

The funeral will be held 10:30 am on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Church Of The Assumption Of The Blessed Mary, 305 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. with Father Antony Arockiadoss officiating.  Burial will be in Hackettstown Union Cemetery, Hackettstown, NJ following the service.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown NJ 07840.

Calling hours will be Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 8:00 am – 10:00 am at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J.

Izzy: You were always a wonderful person and presence at Quest labs and I am sure as well outside of your job. You always treated my children with the utmost of personal attention, caring, and gentleness whenever they needed a lab draw. We will never forget you and may God bless your soul.

    Izzy-
I am heartbroken to learn you are no longer with us, but God must have needed you as an angel. Your above and beyond kindness, support, humor and faith were a gift to those who were blessed to meet you. My kids and I will never forget all you did for us, which was a lot. Even though we only knew you through Quest Labs, we spoke of you to others. You were an angel to us. Many Prayers of comfort to your family for their loss.

Where do I begin, I still can’t beleive it. You’re a big sister to me, my mom was your teacher and I’ve known you a long time. I saw you on July 5th you came to see me after the passing of my mom.. Wow, if I only knew this would be the last time. I called you for your birthday and noticed you did not respond. I sent you many text after realized it was unusual for you not to respond. Only to find out 61 days after reconnecting you had passed away. It sadden me, while I know you’re in a better place i will pray for your sons I have seen born and held them. I know you were proud of them and their accomplishments. Especially when they all graduated college. Until we meet again.

    Izzy,
I am deeply heart broken. For this comes at a deep surprise and sorrow. Not too long before you passed we reconnected and were catching up on old times. You were my heart, my joy, my everything. When we were together, which was a lot, we enjoyed each others company. Both at work and after work. Especially when practicing Architecture together. Both at my Mother’s house and your Mother’s house in Montclair. When you were trying to teach me French before we took our trip to Paris with your sister. I Love your Mom, your sister Carmelle and your brother Carmello. I enjoyed hearing your voice when you spoke about how proud you were of your sons. If there was anything I could do to bring you back I would. The Lord has you now in his arms and I’m sure you would cook him a great meal like you did for me. Carmelle, reach out to me when you can. To her Sons, your Mother was the best GOD had made. See you soon my Dear Love…..
