Barbara V. Schubert, 82 of Independence Twp., NJ, passed away at Hackettstown Medical Center on March 4, 2022. Born in Jersey City, Barbara was the daughter of the late Francis & Mary Kott Chiniewicz.

Barbara has lived in the greater Hackettstown area for the majority of her life. She was an outdoors person having grown up on her family’s farm in Warren County. Prior to her retirement, Barbara was employed as a real estate agent with Fieldler’s Reality of Hackettstown, NJ. Barbara loved spending time with her family at home and took pride in her cooking and baking over the years.

Barbara is survived by her beloved husband, Robert E. Schubert at home. Two sons, Robert Schubert (Colleen) of Mansfield Twp., NJ & Steven Schubert of Independence Twp., NJ. She is also survived by one brother, Henry Chiniewicz and one sister, Mary Briegel. Three beloved grandchildren, Kurt (Christen), Katrina (her fiancé, Tim Faccenda) & Kelby.

A visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ, 07840. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at 11:00am also at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Pequest Union Cemetery, Great Meadows, NJ.
