I am writing to express my condolences to the family. It is hard to believe this incredibly strong, amazing, fierce leader and woman is no longer with us. Janie taught me so much about life and was a woman of such high principle. Her honesty in telling you the truth was one of her best attributes and often made me laugh as you just never knew what was going to come out of her mouth next. There was not a day where she was not talking about how much her children and grandchildren meant to her. Janie’s work for the World Trade Center Response was above and beyond, as were all her amazing accomplishments while working for OSHA.

So sorry to hear about Jane. I worked with her at OSHA and she trained me when I started doing inspections. She was one of my favorites to go out with.because she showed me how to be a great inspector of machine guarding. She didn’t take any BS from the employer. My favorite memory was when we were ending our inspection and the employer stated getting mouthy about citation. She had a bunch of reference information she gave employer and then quickly grabbed it away and said your not getting this.

To the Secor Family, my heart is broken with the loss of Jane. We were very good friends during our time at OSHA, we made dolls together, her granddaughter Danielle and my daughter played together, her daughters and I became good friends. This is a lose that hurts and she is going to be missed so much! Jane, I love you and the family and thanks for a beautiful friendship.
