Steven R. Swanton, age 69, of Bangor, PA died Friday, December 10, 2021 at home. Steven was born March 23, 1952 in Denville, NJ to the late Joseph J. and the late Etta V. (Wilson) Swanton.
He was previously employed by Granville Concrete, Randolph, NJ as a Truck Driver. Steve enjoyed going to truck and cars shows. He loved muscle cars, watching his grandchildren play ball, was an avid NY Giants fan and enjoyed spending time at the Jersey Shore.
Steve is survived by his four loving sons, Steven Swanton, Jr., Mark Swanton and wife Michelle, Ryan Swanton and wife Melissa, Christopher Swanton and wife Kelsey, a brother, Joseph Swanton and wife Francine, 2 sisters, Nancy Ferrone and Companion John, Terry Tierney and husband Kevin, 10 grandchildren, Eric, Matthew, Emma, Natalie, Rose, Kaycee, Tessa, Camryn, William and Kenzie and 3 Nieces and 4 Nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 15 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ.
The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Thursday, December 16 at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ. Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover following services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, Memorial Processing Center, 6725 Lyons Street PO Box 7, East Syracuse, NY 13057 in memory of Steve.

January 1, 2022 at 1:49 amLast time I saw Steve he was a skinny little blond haired kid. His brother Joey And I were friends along with Bob,Pete Pinner,Reilley and others. This was around 1958. Neither life(or death) is truly fair. My most sincere condolences to the family(and friends)of that skinny little blond haired kid.
