Family friends and love ones, Magnolia Titus, lifelong wife and devoted mother, passed on 22nd July 2026 in Oxford, New Jersey, just five days after celebrating her 90th birthday.

Maggie was born in Siparia Trinidad West Indies, back on July 17th 1936, she migrated to the United States in 1970 and 3 months later, her husband Michael Titus followed her here to the US.

Magnolia held many jobs over the years but spent more than 3 decades working at Morris View nursing home in Morris plains, New Jersey. This is where she eventually retired from. She was a wife of more than 50 years and a devoted mother to 6 children, 5 boys and one girl.  The one girl being Pamela Hills who passed and is in Heaven awaiting her mother’s arrival.

Maggie is survived by her five boys Perry, Peter, Ian, Neil and Phillip. Along with 25 loving grandchildren, and 29 great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her husband Michael Titus and her daughter Pamala Hills.

Maggie had an infectious smile that in her presence would make you also want to smile, but don’t be fooled she was feisty, tenacious and unapologetic when standing up for herself and or her family.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at 11:00 am, also at Cochran Funeral Home, with a burial at Hackettstown Union Cemetery, Mountain Avenue, Hackettstown, NJ, following the service.

    I am so sorry for your loss. Although I did not meet Mrs. Titus, I know she was an amazing woman and mother just by knowing her son, Neil. Keeping the entire family in my prayers during this difficult time. Rest in peace.
