Alexis Michele Tucker, age 28, of Hackettstown, N.J. went home to the angels on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.
Alexis was a strong and loving mother to her beloved son, Nicholas Vincent. She has been a warrior in caring for his special needs. Nicholas adored her.
Alexis will be remembered as the bright and talented young woman she had become. Graduating with High Honors, she earned a dual degree in Criminal Justice and Nursing Intent from Warren County Community College. Alexis was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa and received a scholarship for maintaining a 4.0 GPA as a single mother while carrying a full course load. She went on to become a certified lab technician. Alexis played piano beautifully, loved to cook, enjoyed crocheting scarves for everyone, and was artistically gifted. Alexis also loved going “down the shore”, walking the boardwalk and soaking up the sun on the beach.
Alexis is survived by her son, Nicholas V. Tucker, her loving parents, John B. Tucker and Michele Simone-Tucker, and her brother, Michael J. Tucker. Also surviving are her maternal grandparents, Michael and Camille Simone, paternal grandparents, Robert and Patricia Tucker, her godmother, Lisa Marie Simone and her husband, Tony “Nino” Rampulla, and her uncle, Robert Tucker and his wife Anne (Walker) Tucker. Alexis was also blessed with many great-aunts and great-uncles, as well as an abundance of cousins who she loved and cherished.
Alexis was predeceased by her godfather, Joseph B. Giannone, her uncle, Matthew M. Tucker, and her cousin, Anthony Lee Rampulla.
Alexis will be honored as follows:
Visitation 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, Wednesday September 13, 2023
Visitation & Christian service 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm

An intermediate dinner will be held from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm

The family invites you to join them regardless of which viewing you attend.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN in memory of Alexis.
