Genevieve “Jenny” Phoebe Carmosino (Frank), 84, passed away Monday, June 29, 2026, in Hackettstown, New Jersey.
She was born on November 23, 1941 in Dighton, Massachusetts and was the daughter of the late Manuel M. and Bella (Camacho) Frank. Genevieve graduated from Sacred Hearts Academy (SHA) in Fall River, Massachusetts, class of 1959. After high school, she attended beauty school in Boston, Massachusetts where she met her future husband, Anthony Paul Carmosino. She later graduated from the Vidal Sassoon Academy in London, England.
In 1967, Genevieve and Anthony opened Salon 500 in Quincy, Massachusetts, where they worked side by side for 40 years until 2007. Their salon became a cherished part of the community and reflected Genevieve’s dedication, warmth, and passion for her work.
Genevieve had resided in Hackettstown, New Jersey, since 2019 and was formerly of Quincy and Braintree, Massachusetts.
She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony Paul Carmosino; mother of Toni Carmosino; grandmother of Shawn and Kyle Stone; and sister of Paul Frank and wife Janice of New Hampshire and her nephew and nieces. She was predeceased by her sister, Marilyn Tolvanen Frank. She will always be remembered by her keen eye for fashion and will be sadly missed by family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held October 10th, 2026 at St. Theodore Roman Catholic Church, Port Murray, NJ at 11:00 A.M.
