Andrew later attended Rutgers University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History.
Upon return to the United States and civilian life, Andrew continued to pursue his passion as a member of the 2nd Regiment Rhode Island Volunteer Infantry as a Civil War reenactor. Forever a history buff – Andrew was always seeking to learn, his home was filled with literature, history books and video courses from topics as varied as biographical studies of Churchill to the Illard of Homer.
