Teresa “Lorraine” Engemann, age 90, of Hackettstown, formally of Summit NJ, died peacefully after a short illness on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center. Lorraine was born November 10, 1930 in Newark, NJ to the late Paul P and Anna (nee-Gaffney) Muller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walt, her sister Anne and her husband Don, and her sister-in-law Sue.
After raising her 3 children, Lorraine was employed by Kemper Insurance as a clerical assistant for many years before her retirement in 1995. Lorraine was devoted to her Catholic faith. She served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Teresa’s for many years and participated in numerous bible and prayer groups. Lorraine was a fantastic cook and loved to read. She enjoyed socializing and celebrating any and all occasions with her family and friends. In addition to her beloved family she leaves behind her lifelong “club ladies” as well as many other dear friends.
Lorraine is survived by her devoted son Ken and his wife Erika, two loving daughters Layne and her husband Lee, Robin and her husband John, her brother Paul, brother in law and sister in law, Ken and Charlotte, five cherished grandchildren and their spouses, Matt, Brian, Amanda and her husband Sascha, Andrew and his wife Rachel, Ally, two adorable great grandchildren, Sebastian and Noah, and many loving nieces and nephews and their families.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Teresa’s in Summit on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 10:45 am and will be live streamed.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heath Village Appreciation Fund in memory of Lorraine Engemann.
