Wallace, Jacqueline Z. August 14, 1942 - September 4, 2022

On Sunday, September 4, 2022, Jacqueline Z. Wallace passed away surrounded by her loved ones in the comfort of her own home. She was 80yrs old.

Jackie was born August 14, 1942 in Joliet, Illinois to the late, Francis “Butz” and Frances (Mutz) Zelesnik. In addition to her parents, Jackie was predeceased in death by her daughter, Bridgette Hodell.

Living most of her life in the Hackettstown area everyone knows Jackie from Greenway Flowers. She retired after 28 years making friendships that lasted a lifetime.

In her earlier years Jackie was an avid golfer winning many local tournaments. If she wasn’t on the golf course she was soaking up the sun at either the pool or beach.  After retirement Jackie loved spending time with her friends and family and especially her granddogs, Brody, Daisy Lou and Bella Ann.

Jackie is survived by her devoted daughter, Rachel Smith and husband Dwayne, sister, Sue (William) McKay, sister, Zara (Richard) Kirkwood, nephews, William “Beagle” Jarvis, Christopher and Kevin Kirkwood.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday September 9, 2022 at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ from 4-7 with services starting at 6:30pm.

Cremation was private.

    Rachel I am so sorry to here of your moms passing. I have many memories of your mom over the years . One is her laugh it was contagious and her tough love no sugar coating advice . Prayers

    She was the face of Greenway! I know my own mother used to enjoy visiting with her….she was always so pleasant and helpful. My heart goes out to her family, and all those who loved her.
