Arlene Watters Bailey, age 90, of Lewes, DE formally of Allamuchy Township, NJ, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 with her son Greg and his wife Patrice by her side in Lewis, De. Arlene was born March 30, 1932 in Oxford, NJ. She is the daughter of the late Howard F and Essie (Mershon) Watters. She married Ralph Edwin Bailey. She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph Edwin Bailey on October 3, 2012.
She was employed by A&P Corp for 45 Years as a(n) Manager Cashier. Arlene lived a long and volunteering life, she was a original member of the Allamuchy-Green Township First Aid Squad, and a volunteer at Hackettstown Hospital for over 15 years.
She was always a member of the Panther Valley Ecumenical Ministry and a member of the Hackettstown Senior Citizens Hall of Fame.
She is survived by her son: Gregory Bailey and his wife Patrice of Lewes, Delaware and three grandchildren: Krista Murphy and her husband Ryan, Jessica Silvent and her husband Joe and Gregory S. Bailey and his wife Nicole. She is also survived by a step grandson Jory White and his wife Mary, also six great grandchildren and several nieces.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840
Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Jeanette Hile officiating, Burial will take place at Tranquility Cemetery, 40 Tranquility Road, Tranquility, NJ following the service.
